This is Golfer Geeks’ Cobra Aerojet driver review.
I’m an avid golfer, an 8ish handicap on my way to a 2 (been a 5.6), and frequent tester of golf clubs and equipment since 2015.
I tested the Aerojet on the course and on the range next to the LTDx.
NOTE– The Aerojet did not get my best. My experience may not reflect its true capabilities.
Summary – The
I tease out my reasoning and caveats in the article below.

Overview & Why you should Consider It.
The Aerojet – like the LTDx that came before it – is designed to be low spin with high launch and high forgiveness for easier distance for golfers of all skill levels.
Cobra says it’s their fastest driver yet and they achieved this by improving the aerodynamics (guess that’s where “Aerojet” came from). They’re also using A.I. now to help design a faster face too.
This Aerojet Model is designed for
- Medium launch
- Low spin
- Neutral shot shape
Aerojet Driver Specs:
- Loft – 10.5 degrees
- Shaft – Project X HZRDUS Smoke iM10 Shaft, Stiff Flex

My Experience with the Aerojet
Very solid, great sound. Ample distance and forgiveness.
But, the Aerojet had to work hard to keep me in play during my round. It mostly succeeded. But, I’m changing my swing and fighting through that right now. So, my driver numbers and performance are suffering.
Full Review
I thought the LTDx was a near-perfect driver in performance. I was curious to see what they could improve with the Aerojet. They already took a step back with the cosmetics in my book.
Looks (B-) Not terrible, but it doesn’t look premium…at least to me. Head shape is good and it sits well at address.
Sound/ Feel (A) Stellar, just like the LTDx line.
Forgiveness: (A) Stellar. You’ve got to put a pretty bad swing on it to get punished.
Flight / Playability (A) Medium-high launch and trajectory for me.
Distance: (A) Excellent – though not evidenced by my numbers.
My driver swing is a little in the toilet right now. My numbers for every driver I’ve tested are worse than last year. That’s ALL on me.

Have elite swing speed and/or trouble keeping your drives down? Go for the Aerojet LS.
Low handicaps (Yes) – Unless…see above.
Mid handicaps (YES) – You should give it a try.

Our Verdict
An excellent driver with premium sound, feel, forgiveness, and distance. Not-so-premium looks, but not terrible.
Should you upgrade if you own the LTDx?
No. The LTDx is equal in performance, better looking, and now about $250 less.
My #1 suggestion is to test before you buy. Either at your local golf store or take advantage of Global Golf’s Utry trial program. I use it and recommend it.
