This is Golfer Geeks’ review of the best golf swing trainers on the market in 2024
I’ve been playing golf since 1993, and I’ve invested in golf training aids for about that long. The good ones have done wonders for my game, and the bad ones won’t be mentioned on these pages.
Luckily for us, there’s never been a better selection, technology, or quality. If you’ve got a swing fault – and we all do – some enterprising fellow golfer has invented a tool to help.
We’ve tested a ton of them and have included the cream of the crop on this page.
Let’s see which golf swing trainer(s) can help your game the most.

#1 ONE Club Swing Trainer (Editor’s Pick)
Save 10% w/ Code: GOLFERGEEK10
- Improves Swing Sequence, Timing & Release, Speed
- Helps you maximize ground forces
- Provides audible and tactile feedback
- Beaucoup Training videos (including from Martin Chuck)
- Instructions could be better
The ONE Club golf swing trainer is our new #1 Recommendation for the best golf swing trainer.
What we like:
- Best training aid I’ve tried for grooving good swing sequence, timing, & release.
- Forces you to use the ground correctly to generate speed.
- Makes you slot the club on the correct path on the downswing.
- Provides audible and tactile feedback.
- Beaucoup Training videos (including from Martin Chuck).
What we don’t like: (kind of)
- Written instructions aren’t the best. (written by a smarty pants engineer)
You’ve got to put in the work.(Nothing wrong with having to earn it)
I developed a buuuunch of bad swing habits over the last few years.
My swing was (and sometimes is) jerky and out of sync and I’d lost at least a club distance because of this. I tried to make up for it by swinging harder – which made the problem worse.
I picked up the ONE Club and – per instructions – added only 3 weights and one medium elastic band. Then, I went to work. Pretty quickly, my swing sequence, timing, and release improved.
More speed happened naturally because I was swinging better.
The ONE Club is billed primarily as a swing speed trainer. Our testing shows it does a lot more than that. It’s a legit complete swing trainer.
Yes, it’s great for overspeed training. (Which is the second way it helps you swing faster)
Yes, it’s also a weighted club – but so much more than that, thanks to the inertia generator – that can help you strengthen your “golf” muscles.
I could not get the ONE club to release at the right time when I swung out of sequence and/or didn’t load properly in my transition. It took me a few tries, but I got it…without much or any thought.
Intuitively, I figured out I had to do something different to get the ONE Club to release at the right time – between my trail leg and the ball. And, once you do that, you can start to repeat it.
Then, you can add weight and/ or resistance bands. Thereby making your swing more powerful and efficient. Warning – this is where the work comes in.
This is me below going through a small part of a training session.
This is Britt – who wrote our review on the ONE Club with a MUCH better swing than me.
There are a whole lot of training videos on the ONE Club website to help get you started. Martin Chuck does an entire series.
Bottom line: An excellent swing trainer…if you’re willing to put in the work.

Save 10% Today#2 GravityFit TPro (Best Golf Posture Trainer)
Save 10% w/ Code: GOLFERGEEKS
- Ingrains Proper Golf Posture
- Teaches Correct & Powerful Pivot
- Get & Maintain Width in Your Swing for Pure & Powerful contact
- Awesome for Chipping, Pitching & Putting too
- Comes w/ Extensive Video Training
- Green tubing hard to unclip
The GravityFit TPro is one of the most effective golf swing trainers we’ve seen in years.
What we like:
- Gets you in your correct golf posture.
- Helps you maintain swing width and radius. Crucial for consistency and power.
- Teaches you to turn and pivot correctly.
- Awesome for chipping, pitching, and putting. (Don’t sleep on this)
What we don’t like:
- Not. A. Thing.
Don’t underestimate how important getting and maintaining swing width is for better contact, better distance, better trajectory, and better consistency. (The pros sure don’t)
I learned about it only a few months ago and it’s my favorite new swing trainer for golf.
The TPro Super Kit (pictured above) comes with 3 resistance bands for light (yellow) medium (red), and heavy (green) resistance.
- It helps me get in the correct golf posture and keeps me there.
- It helps me create and maintain width in my swing – FUNDAMENTAL for solid & consistent contact from the putter to full swing.
- It helps me feel arm-body connection and improves my move or pivot off the ball and in my downswing.
Bottom line: A remarkably effective swing trainer that far outperforms its simple appearance.

Save 10% Today#3 Tour Striker Impact Sling (Best Timing, Tempo & Swing Sequence Trainer)
- Improve Swing Sequence & Timing
- Improve Swing Path & Release
- Plug Power Leaks
- Increase Swing Speed w/ Less Effort
- Great for warming up pre-round or pre range session
- Pricey
The Tour Striker Impact Sling is our runner-up for the best golf swing tempo trainer.
What we like:
- Excellent for improving swing sequence and timing, smoothing transition, and setting the proper tempo.
- Forces you to use the ground correctly to generate speed.
- Improves your swing path.
- Video training series from Marting Chuck.
- Premium materials and construction.
What we don’t like: (kind of)
- A little pricey
I’ve been training with and swinging the Impact Sling for months now. It stays in my bag, and I swing it before every range session and every round.
I find it helps me with a few things:
- It helps to prevent me from yanking on the club at the start of the downswing and trying to create club speed by jerking on the club.
- It slows my hands down and forces my body to set the correct tempo, sequence, and timing for a much smoother swing.
- It helps me sync everything up and puts me in a position to make better swings.
You can not jerk the Impact Sling around our swing erratically without beating yourself up with the rope sling.
Bottom line: A great corrective for when your swing gets a little (or a lot) erratic.
#4 deWiz (Best Golf Swing Analyzer & Modifier)
Get $50 OFF your deWiz w/ Code: GOLFERGEEKS50
- Real-time accurate data on your swing
- Instant feedback
- Accelerated Learning
- Extensive training
- Price
The deWiz is our best golf swing analyzer and swing modifier (what sets it apart…way apart).
What we like:
- Real-time accurate data on your swing.
- Instant auditory and/or physical feedback for quicker learning.
- Extensive training.
- Excellent interface with app and no bugs.
What we don’t like
- On the pricier side.
Swing Analyzer– It measures swing length, hand speed, tempo, and whether you are on plane, over the plane, or under the plane of your backswing at the start of your downswing. (It measures more, but these are the most important metrics)
Swing Modifier – It helps you improve your numbers by coaching you with real-time audio and physical feedback.
- You set parameters within the app to notify you – either by sound and/or electric stimuli/shock/pulse – when you are outside of the parameters you set.
The deWiz is the training aid I didn’t know existed or that I needed…until a few months ago.
Sure, there’ve been similar products before, but they looked shoddy to me, and reviews from buyers confirmed my suspicions.
Not so with deWiz. Everything about deWiz screams quality to.
- The device itself.
- The app.
- The tour pros putting their name behind it: Annika Sörenstam, Vijay Singh, Bryson DeChambeau, and Henrik Stenson. (Not to mention some big-name teaching pros).
It benefits your game in 3 ways: (I go into deeper detail in my full review)
- Hit the ball longer by increasing your backswing length.
- Hit the straighter by improving your swing plane.
- Hit the ball closer to the pin by dialing in your backswing for finesse wedge shots.
I’ve been working on swing plane & finesse wedge shots.
My swing plane got squared away in one session, but I go back from time to time to spot-check or when I see my ball flight change from a tiny draw to any kind of fade.
Finesse wedges are ongoing. I’ve got my baseline wedge swing lengths, but they’re not ingrained yet. That takes more time and I’m on the case.
Bottom line: Golfers serious about their game and willing to spend a nice chunk of change can improve their game quickly and continuously.
Get $50 OFF your deWiz w/ Code: GOLFERGEEKS50
Get $50 OFF My deWiz#5 HackMotion Golf Swing Analyzer & Wrist Angle Training Aid
- Effective for fixing a slice
- Improve contact, distance, accuracy & consistency
- Lots of training and guides provided
- Putting mode to help work on short game
- A lot of data points & steep learning curve
The HackMotion tracks and measures your hand and wrist movements in your golf swing in real-time.
What we like:
- It educates you on the proper wrist angle (and clubface angle) at impact for more power and accuracy.
- Real-time feedback gives you valuable insight into the position of your clubface throughout your swing.
- Combination of data and feel leads to faster improvement.
- Will help make your swing more efficient.
- Tons of data.
- Tons of training and resources.
What we don’t like:
- So much data means a steep learning curve.
- Will take time to learn about wrist angles.
- Calibration can be a pain (but nothing you can’t handle)
HackMotion can work for any handicap golfer. However, this is a tool that is going to appeal more to golfers who like data, stats, and analytics.
Although HackMotion can teach you to “feel” what you must do with your wrists, it’s not a wrist brace or a swing jacket. It’s a measuring device.
Bottom line: Like the deWiz, this is for serious golfers willing to invest money and time into their game.
#6 DownUnder Board (Best Swing for Pivot & Power)
Save 10% w/ Coupon Code GOLFER GEEKS
- Plug Power Leaks
- Improve contact for solid, crisp shots
- Better ball striking first range session
- Light weight and portable
- Tight fit in my stand bag
One of my favorite and the highest immediate impact golf swing trainers of the bunch.
What we like:
- Near immediate results.
- Makes your swing more efficient and plugs power leaks.
- Lightweight & portable.
- Video training series from the creator.
What we don’t like:
- May not fit in smaller stand bags.
Here’s who I think the DownUnder board benefits:
If you’ve got a reasonably good swing and just need to plug some leaks.
New to the game? Perfect. You get to avoid the most common swing faults the rest of us crusty veterans have to unlearn.
The DownUnder Board addresses a problem I’ve been battling for a loooooong time…Swaying. I sway off the ball WAY too much in my backswing and to a lesser extent in the downswing.
Consistent contact is near-impossible. I can manage ok if my timing happens to be good that day, but that’s no way to live.
This is a common problem….even with tour players, though to a much lesser extent. Bradley Hughes knows this and created this uber-simple but ingenious solution.
Honestly, I cold topped my first 10 shots. This is a different way to swing than what I’m used to, but I can’t argue with what I saw once I figured it out.
I started flushing the ball on my start line and began taking shallower divots.
My thoughts were/are: This thing is legit and I’m going to use it Every Single Time I go to the range…and I have.
This is the golf swing trainer aid that hits the range with me every time.
Here’s what I suggest
- Get the DownUnder Board from downunderboard.com
- Watch the training videos.
- Rewatch the training videos and pay attention to what Bradley is telling you to do.
- Get to the range and hit some balls.
- DON’T start at 18 inches wide. I found it impossible and frustrating to swing at this width.
- Go down to 14 inches and get used to hitting balls…then start going wider and inch at a time. I’m two sessions at 15 inches and I’ll be moving to 16 inches next range session or the one after.
It is going to feel weird at first. No getting around it. A teeny tiny bit of perseverance and you’ll be flushing the ball in that very same range session. I darn near guarantee it.
Bottom Line: Like the GravityFit, it doesn’t look like much. Don’t be surprised if you start striping the ball your first range session. (I did)

Save 10% Today#7 Tour Striker Smart Ball (Best Arm Structure Trainer)
- Teaches proper arm structure
- Connects your arms and body in your swing
- Keeps the club in front of you and unstuck
- Makes your swing more efficient
- Video training series from Martin Chuck
- Frustrating at first
The Tour Striker Smart Ball is next on our list of best swing trainers for golf.
What we like:
- Teaches excellent fundamentals of arm structure from address through the follow through.
- Connects your arms to your body for greater efficiency and consistency.
- Extensive video training series from Martin Chuck.
What we don’t like:
- Steepish learning curve. So, expect frustration.
It’s used by some of the best ball strikers and golf teachers in the world, most notably- Players Justin Rose and Darren Clarke and teachers Sean Foley and Martin Hall. It’s the best golf training aid to kill the old chicken wing.
The Tour Striker Smart Ball operates on a very simple concept of sequencing and connecting your swing, but…you will need patience because you are learning to putt, chip, pitch, swing with a whole new level of connection between your arms and body.
Bottom Line: Frustrating, yet effective. (if you can stick it out)
#6 GForce (Best Hittable Swing & Tempo Trainer)
- Learn lag instinctively for effortless power
- Forces you into correct positions to make solid contact
- Excellent for Timing, Tempo & Swing Sequence
- Extensive video training library from Inventor (20-year golf pro - Stuart Small)
- Be prepared to hit a bunch of bad shots when starting
The GForce NXT-GEN 7-iron is next on our list for best golf swing trainer.
What we like:
- It teaches lag without you having to think about lag.
- It exposes swing flaws and forces you into better positions and on a better swing path or you’ll never hit a straight shot.
- Outstanding for teaching timing and tempo.
- Training by Stuart Small.
What we don’t like: (kind of)
- Requires patience and perseverance.
It’s also a great golf training aid for building lag and and good swing sequence – all without swing thoughts swimming in your head.
Why? It does everything the best tempo trainers on the market do plus:
- Realism… It’s 7-iron length, so I can get into my actual golf stance and swing on my correct plane.
- It comes with beaucoup training from Stuart (20-year PGA pro and inventor)
- You can hit balls with it. Is my feel real?
But, you cannot hit balls well with the Lag Shot if you jerk the club from the top or are otherwise not in the slot. At least I can’t.
The GForce will expose you quickly if you swing sloppy or, otherwise, incorrect. It is a Training Club for your golf swing.
Bad things happen for me on the golf course when I “try” too hard. Proper swing sequence goes out the window and my shots can, and do, end up anywhere. Goodbye, handicap.
I also believe having good tempo and swing sequence gives you much sought-after lag (Picture Sergio)
Enter the GForce…I’ve had mine for about a year now, and it is my go-to golf training club for putting me in the slot and forcing me into my best tempo and sequence.
How I use it:
- Before range practice: I want to see around 10 solid shots before I switch to my clubs. (Hit it well with the GForce, and you will hit it well with your clubs)
- Before a round: see above.
- At home every single day: ingrain good tempo and lag.
Bottom Line: It does what it says it does and should be near you at all times.
#6 Orange Whip (Best Pure Tempo & Rhythm Trainer)
- Improves swing sequence, tempo, & timing
- Stretches and strengthens golf muscles
- Helps lengthen swing
- Improves swing efficiency and power
- Quality construction
- Tons of training on website and YouTube
- Made in America
- None, delivers on promise.
The Orange Whip is next on our list of best swing trainers. (it’s the most popular tempo trainer in golf)
What we like:
- Excellent for pre-round or pre-practice warm up.
- Improves strength and flexibility.
- Improves tempo.
- Smooths transition from backswing to downswing.
- Tons of training on their website.
- Very solid reputation.
What we don’t like:
- Nothing. It delivers on its promise.
Simple and straightforward in design, it provides a wide range of feedback about your swing.
In addition to tempo, it helps you perfect your swing balance as well as your plane. It’s made to mimic the feel and motion of a driver and it’s weighted so that you can feel the swing and make the necessary adjustments from this information.
Most notably, this tool helps with the transition between your backswing and downswing. It’s perfectly designed and weighted so that you don’t rush or stall this important transition moment. Because its is weighted, it’s actually a strength-building workout too.
I’ve got a buddy who owns the Orange Whip and I own the SKLZ. It takes a little time to get used to this extra weight, but the results will speak for themselves.
Bottom Line: It does what it says it does and will be your most used training aid.

Our Final Verdict
We like the ONE Club because it’s the most complete swing trainer on the market today.

It’s not as well-known as some of the others on this page…Give it time.
